One of the founding tennants of this clan was to have a few open public events for the community. Other than kewls event we have been really lacking in this department.

With Council and Member approval I would hope we could set up a Public Event sub forum.

We have a forum for private events, but if we really want to get our name out there we will need events open to the public.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, I agree about setting up a sub forum for public events. It might just get our name out there like you said and more people will participate.

Now the only questions remaining are

- what will be the nature of public events (pugs, scrims.., rules, code of conduct)

- who will take care of it (yeah, will it be NA, EU or IN and if so, who will moderate based on time options, which day we will sacrifice for it)
---- here I would be actually for making this NA focused with another NA member / Councilor running the things (Roxas, Dak, eXile?), because NA div. needs a rapid manpower boost, while we're receiving all the attention in Europe we can get (around 5 pending applications and another 3 or 4 pending challenges which speaks for itself)
----- asking for not placing this on Saturday (unless it's strictly NA to conflict with the Saturday's Scrims)

- how it will be handled (I would suggest creating a public forum, just like you said, posting 1 locked topic with code of conduct and basic info on the when and where and one sign up topic: nothing is honestly better than knowing 2 or 3 days ahead how many people are planning on showing up)
----- what used to be done among EU clans was that somebody was hosting pug, usually some polish wannabe clan and they did it in style that started spamming suddenly people who they got on x fire because usually 5 people from that clan(s) was playing on that server 24/7 and when they decided to do things spontaneously they just spammed 100 people and hoped another 5 would show up BUT, BUT, BUT there is one big BUT and reason why not to do it this way: I took part in few of those and it was bloody insane waste of time because we got 10 people did 2 rounds then someone RQ, game paused: search for new guy so we could continue 5 v 5, somebody finally connected after 20 minutes of waiting, before they managed to restart game to resume somebody else quit and the manhunt started all over again - RESULT: 4,5 hours wasted - 7 rounds played in total usually, lots of annoyed people and these clans usually gave up after 1 or 2 months, because it was ridiculous

so I suggest to do this more organized and whoever does it keeping track of people who like coming back and are reliable, giving them VIP slots and so on Smile

When AE was founded the whole premise of this clan was members hosting events.

Personally I trust and respect everyone who is left in the clan at the moment.

I personally wouldnt have a problem with anyone hosting an event.

And I am working on boosting the man power of the NA divison. Once I get our server up this friday we should start progressing in leaps and bounds.
